During the initial stage, you will be given antibiotics to treat the infection. If you avoid going to the doctor, you stand a chance of getting worse more so developing heart problems, joints pains, and nervous system issues. Nonetheless, the cure is available for the first stage diagnosis. The last stage is detrimental to humans and can cause face paralysis, vision problems, and memory disorders.

Lastly, it is always advisable to take preventive measures. So, avoid having direct contact with ticks. Also in the hot months, when ticks are many, avoid bushy areas or walking at the center of trials. Make sure that you check yourself and pet if you went for a walk or hike.
